Centre adopting zero tolerance policy against terrorism: Kishan Reddy

Kishan Reddy welcomes HC’s verdict on Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts case

Hyderabad: The Central government led by Prime Narendra Modi was working with a zero tolerance policy to eradicate terrorism, Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy said.

“There is no room for terror activities in the last 11 years of BJP rule,” he said in a statement welcoming Telangana High Court’s verdict on the Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts incident.

The High Court's verdict that that the death was an appropriate punishment for terrorists who created the genocide has once again made it clear that there is no place for violence and terrorism in a democracy, he said.

“We believe that justice has been done to the families of the victims who have been chasing them like a nightmare for 12 years. We will stand by the victims’ families,” he said.

“We, on behalf of the BJP party, express our joy at the High Court's upholding of the death sentence awarded by the NIA court. The Modi government is working with a zero tolerance policy to eradicate terrorism. There is no room for such incidents in the last 11 years of BJP rule,” Kishan Reddy said.

After coming to power at the Centre, the BJP government has given top priority to the security of the country. The Central government was working with commitment towards completely eradicating terrorism. “Appeasement politics should not be encouraged in a democracy. All political parties should remember this,” he said.

The NIA played a key role in conducting a thorough investigation and punishing the accused. “I congratulate the police personnel who investigated the blasts case effectively. The government should take stricter measures, giving top priority to the security of the country,” he added.
