Operation Sindoor Redefines India’s Security Doctrine: US
India’s Operation Sindoor has unveiled a new national security doctrine and surpassed its strategic goals, including destruction of terror camps and demonstrating military superiority over Pakistan, according to John Spencer, chair of Urban Warfare Studies at the US-based Modern War Institute. Launched on May 7 in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, the operation involved precise strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK. Spencer noted that India’s actions drew a new red line, asserting that future cross-border terror will be met with force. He emphasized that the operation restored deterrence, avoided full-scale war, and sent a strong message globally. Prime Minister Modi, in his address post-operation, reiterated that “terror and talks cannot go together” and declared Sindoor as India’s new anti-terror doctrine.
