  • Free pre-primary education for 4 lakh children at Anganwadi centres
  • ‘Bala Bharosa’ to detect and treat early childhood disabilities
  • ₹2 lakh incentive for marriages of persons with disabilities
  • 500 Anganwadi-cum-crèches for working women

The Telangana government has announced a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening women and child welfare, with a budget allocation of ₹3,143 crore.

The State is providing free pre-primary education to around 4 lakh children aged 3–6 years through 35,781 Anganwadi centres under the Aadharshila curriculum, along with uniforms and nutritional support.

Under the Bala Bharosa scheme, early screening and treatment are being provided to children up to five years to detect congenital disabilities and developmental delays, helping prevent long-term health issues.

To support persons with disabilities, the government is offering a ₹2 lakh incentive to encourage marriage and financial stability.

As part of nutrition initiatives, 274 mobile Anganwadi centres will be set up under the State Nutrition Mission to cater to urban poor communities.

Additionally, under the Palana scheme, 500 Anganwadi-cum-Crèche Centres will be established to support working women by providing childcare, nutrition, and day-care services. The government has also sanctioned 37 “Pranam” Day Care Centres for senior citizens.

Officials said the initiatives aim to improve early childhood care, women’s empowerment, and social welfare across the State.
