Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced large-scale arrangements for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu, to be held from June 26 to July 7, 2027, with an estimated 8 crore devotees expected to participate.
The Pushkaralu, held once every 12 years, will be organised on a grand scale, showcasing Telangana’s cultural heritage, on the lines of the Kumbh Mela.
To oversee the arrangements, the government has constituted a special Cabinet Sub-Committee under Minister D. Sridhar Babu. The panel will supervise key infrastructure works including road widening, construction of new ghats, and temple development.
Authorities are also planning to use modern technology to ensure smooth darshan, enhanced security, and effective crowd management during the event.
The government has proposed an allocation of ₹500 crore in the Budget for conducting the Godavari Pushkaralu.
