Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Launched at Rs 11 Lakh

This will be valid for up to 3 years and 30,000km, and will be applicable to Taigun bookings placed on or before May 31, 2026.

“The Taigun has been a cornerstone of our India story,” said Nitin Kohli, Brand Director at Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.

“Today, with the introduction of the new Taigun, we aim to offer customers the right combination of features, performance, design and safety,” he noted.

Historically, the higher trimlines of this SUV have been more preferred and constitute to nearly 60 % of the model’s sales, even for the new Taigun, we have packaged the variants to ensure our customers avail of the best value at an attractive price proposition, Kohli said.

The new SUV is available in six variants: Comfortline, Highline, Highline Plus, GT Line, Topline and GT Plus.

The Taigun facelift sports a redesigned front fascia, featuring new LED headlamps connected by an LED light bar and a reworked front bumper. In the rear, the SUV gets updated LED tail lights with sequential turn indicators and a reworked bumper. There are illuminated VW logos at both ends, and the SUV rides on new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Taigun facelift offers six upholstery options and updated trims. The dashboard design has been retained, but it now houses a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an updated 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The new Taigun is offered with the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as before. It makes 113 BHP and 178 Nm and is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is available in higher variants. It produces 148 BHP and 250 Nm and is available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. These variants also get rear disc brakes as standard.
