Niva Bupa Suspends Cashless Facility At Max Hospitals
This means that Niva Bupa customers seeking treatment in Max Hospitals will have to pay medical bills themselves and then file for reimbursement with the insurer: Reports

MUMBAI: Health insurer Niva Bupa has suspended cashless treatment facilities at all Max Hospitals across the country, effective August 16, 2025 as the two parties could not reach a mutual agreement on package rates.
Niva Bupa’s agreement with Max Hospitals expired in May 2025, and ongoing discussions on tariff revisions could not reach a mutual conclusion leading to a temporary suspension of cashless services at Max Hospitals said Bhabhtosh Mishra, Director & Chief Operating Officer at Niva Bupa Health Insurance.
This means that Niva Bupa customers seeking treatment in Max Hospitals will have to pay medical bills themselves and then file for reimbursement with the insurer.
To make matters easy for its policyholders, Niva Bupa has introduced priority and fast-track reimbursement claim processing. However cashless services for policyholders remain available at over 10,400 hospitals in its network nationwide.
