Rupee hovered in range of 67.7225 to 67.61 per dollar during morning deals.
Mumbai: The rupee today closed down by 17paise against the US currency at 68.73/74 per dollar compared to previous close of 68.56.
The domestic currency also plunged against the British pound to close at Rs 85.73/75 per pound compared to previous close of 84.98 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange market.
