Mahindra Clocks Over Rs 8,000 Crore in H1 2026, Sells 30,000 Units in 7 Months

The automaker said in the first seven months of this year it sold over 30,000 units of XEV 9e and BE 6

Bangalore: Mahindra, the SUV specilist, on Wednesday said it has clocked a record sales revenue of more than Rs 8,000 crore in the first half of FY2026 selling its popular electric SUVs called XEV 9e and BE 6.

The automaker said in the first seven months of this year it sold over 30,000 units of XEV 9e and BE 6.
This has made Mahindra the No. 1 EV brand in revenue market share in India in the first six months of FY2026, Mahindra said in a statement.

Launched exactly a year ago with the promise to "create history," Mahindra claimed the models have gone on to "deliver headlines," redefining what Indian-made electric vehicles can achieve.

"Our electric SUVs became so popular that we sold one electric SUV every 10 minutes during seven months," saild Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO at Mahindra and Mahindra.

To keep up the sales momentum of its popular electric vehicles in the fiercely competitive electric car market, the company on Wednesday introduced two new premium variants of BE 6 called BE 6 Formula e FE 2 priced at Rs 23.69 lakh and BE 6 Formula e FE 3 at Rs 24.49 lakh.

Bookings for these new BE 6 variants will open on January 14 and deliveries will start from Valentine Day on February 14.

Mahindra said its electric SUVs have transformed usage patterns in India’s EV market. Rather than being second or occasional vehicles, they’ve become daily drivers:
  • 65% of all XEV 9e and BE 6 units are driven every single working day.
  • Over 1,000 units have already crossed 20,000km, with several exceeding 50,000km in just seven months.
  • 70% of owners drive more than 1,000km a month, while 10% cover over 3,000km monthly.

Nearly 60% of Mahindra electric SUVs achieve 500+ km of real-world city range. (City Range: range achieved at speeds below 100 kmph).

The rapid adoption of the XEV 9e and BE 6 has brought Mahindra an entirely new category of buyers.

80 per cent of all customers are first-time Mahindra owners, a breakthrough for the brand, officials said.

The audience now includes luxury SUV aspirants, design-focused buyers, tech-forward families and young urban professionals, they said.

The company claims the XEV 9e and BE 6 have achieved something unprecedented in the Indian EV space: making electric vehicles an aspirational lifestyle choice.
