LTIMindtree Joins Hands with Andhra Pradesh to Launch India’s First Quantum Valley
Collaboration with GoAP, IBM, and industry partners to build a cutting-edge quantum technology hub
LTIMindtree, a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, along with its parent group Larsen & Toubro (L&T), announced a strategic collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP), IBM, and other industry partners to develop Amravati Quantum Valley, India’s first dedicated quantum technology hub.
The partnership positions LTIMindtree and L&T as core technology and infrastructure partners in creating a world-class innovation destination focused on quantum computing and applied research. LTIMindtree’s Quantum Centre of Excellence (CoE) will lead deep tech research and incubation efforts, working alongside other members of the tech park to translate fundamental quantum science into industrial and societal applications. L&T will be responsible for the design, development, and management of the physical infrastructure, leveraging its expertise in large-scale construction projects.
A key feature of the initiative is the planned Quantum Computing Centre, where IBM and the Andhra Pradesh Government will deploy the IBM Quantum System Two, anticipated to be the largest quantum computer in India. L&T is collaborating with IBM to address the complex architectural requirements needed to house such advanced quantum technology, with plans progressing rapidly.

The Amaravati Quantum Valley will offer state-of-the-art R&D facilities for both quantum and classical computing, collaborative workspaces for academia, startups, industry, and government, flexible office spaces for enterprises and research teams, and dedicated zones for events such as conferences, hackathons, and workshops. The project aims to foster cross-sector collaboration and establish India as a global leader in quantum technology innovation.
