Swiggy, CARE Hospitals partner to offer Health Camp for delivery partners in Hyderabad

Swiggy, India’s pioneering on-demand convenience platform, organized a health check-up camp today in partnership with CARE Hospitals in Hyderabad. Smt. Hari Chandana Dasari, Secretary, Department of Skill Human Capital and Knowledge Training Initiatives, Government of Telangana was the Chief Guest at the event. Organized on the sidelines of the World Gratitude Day, the camp saw participation from hundreds of delivery partners across Swiggy’s Food Marketplace and Instamart businesses. Helmet distribution was also undertaken at the event, reinforcing Swiggy’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its delivery partners.

The health checkup camp covered a range of tests including Basic Health Screening (Blood Pressure, Pulse and Blood Sugar checks and Weight assessment paired with an Internal Medicine Consultation), Diagnostic & Specialized Care which included ECG (upon doctor recommendation) with consultation, Ophthalmology, and Dental checkups as well as Wellness Assessment that included Body Composition Analysis (BCA) paired with a Nutritionist Consultation. These clinical screenings and personalized medical consultations were conducted by doctors and trained professionals from Care Hospital Outpatient Centre.

Speaking at the event, Hari Chandana Dasari, Secretary, Department of Skill Human Capital and Knowledge Training Initiatives, Government of Telangana shared “The contribution of delivery partners to our cities and the wider economy is significant. Ensuring that workers have access to appropriate health and welfare support is an important part of building an inclusive workforce. We welcome Swiggy’s initiative to organise this health check-up in Hyderabad and encourage continued efforts by stakeholders to support the well-being of workers.”

Adding to this, Neha Singhvi, Vice President- Corporate Affairs, Swiggy added “World Gratitude Day is a good opportunity to recognise and appreciate the people who are part of our everyday lives. Over the years, Swiggy has undertaken a range of initiatives aimed at strengthening partners’ financial security and long-term resilience: through our partnership with Zerodha Fund House, delivery partners can begin investing in mutual funds through the Swiggy Rider App with as little as ₹100; the in-app income-tax filing facility has enabled more than 50,000 delivery partners to file Income Tax Returns (of which more than 1/3rd were first timers), enabling tax-refund of ₹6.5 crore; and through Early Payout, eligible delivery partners can access a part of their earned income ahead of the regular weekly settlement cycle, helping them manage immediate financial needs more effectively. The initiatives complement Swiggy’s broader delivery-partner support ecosystem, including insurance, health and emergency assistance.
