Welspun Living Limited has reached a defining milestone in its sustainability journey, emerging as the world’s No. 1 company in the Textile, Apparel & Luxury Goods category in the 2025 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). With an overall score of 90, the company now leads its global peers, reinforcing its position as the highest-ranked textile manufacturer from India in this category.
This recognition reflects a steady and consistent climb over the past two years. Welspun Living’s CSA score rose from 66 in 2023 to 83 in 2024, before reaching 90 in 2025 an improvement of 24 points in just two years. The latest assessment highlights strong performance across all three pillars of ESG, with scores of 94 in Environment, 89 in Social, and 84 in Governance & Economic, underlining the company’s integrated and holistic approach to sustainability.
The achievement underscores how sustainability has been embedded as a core business priority rather than a parallel initiative. Across operations, Welspun Living has steadily aligned environmental responsibility, social impact, and governance practices with long-term value creation, resulting in measurable progress year after year.
Commenting on the milestone, Dipali Goenka, Managing Director & CEO, said the recognition is both humbling and motivating. She noted that being ranked No. 1 globally with a score of 90 is a meaningful affirmation of the company’s commitment to building a responsible and transparent business. She credited the achievement to the collective effort of the Welspun Living team, adding that the company remains focused on setting higher benchmarks for the industry while ensuring that growth remains sustainable.
Echoing this sentiment, Alok Mishra, President & Group Head – Sustainability, highlighted that the ranking reflects a practical and deliberate approach to ESG priorities. He emphasized that Welspun Living’s journey demonstrates how business growth and environmental responsibility can move forward together when guided by thoughtful decision-making, and that the recognition strengthens the company’s resolve to create long-term, meaningful impact.
As sustainability increasingly shifts from a “nice-to-have” to a strategic necessity, Welspun Living Limited is sharpening its focus on key areas such as clean energy adoption, water stewardship, circular material flows, and community development. These priorities are central to the company’s long-term resilience, growth strategy, and commitment to inclusive value creation, positioning it strongly for the future of responsible global manufacturing.
