LPL Financial Inaugurates Global Capability Center in Hyderabad

New center strengthens the firm's global operating model and commitment to innovation at scale

Hyderabad: LPL Financial (Nasdaq: LPLA), a leading U.S.-based wealth management firm, today hosted the formal inauguration of the LPL Financial Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, India, commemorating the opening with a ceremony attended by senior members of LPL’s leadership team and prominent leaders from government and the financial services industry. The event marks a major milestone in LPL’s continued investment in global technology, operational capabilities and innovation.

Hyderabad’s selection as the location for the GCC reflects the city’s advanced infrastructure as well as its strong base of talented professionals with experience in financial services, technology, artificial intelligence, automation and cloud engineering.
A Fortune 500 company, LPL is among the fastest-growing wealth management firms in the United States, supporting more than 32,000 financial advisors, the wealth management practices of nearly 1,200 financial institutions and managing approximately $2.4 trillion in assets on behalf of roughly 8 million Americans.
While LPL’s core business remains U.S.-focused, the Hyderabad-based LPL Financial Global Capability Center will support important enterprise functions, including technology, operations, product development, data and analytics and risk management. As part of LPL’s global operating model, the GCC is expected to enhance advisor and client support, accelerate innovation, and strengthen platform stability and operational resilience.

The inauguration event was attended by Hon’ble IT Minister Mr. D. Sridhar Babu, along with LPL U.S.-based senior leadership and other financial industry leaders, underscoring Hyderabad’s growing role as a global technology and innovation hub.

Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, E&C, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs Government of Telangana, India. “This inauguration represents more than the opening of a new facility—it marks an important step in our journey to build a more agile, scalable and innovation-driven organization,” said Greg Gates, chief technology and information officer for LPL Financial. “By bringing together global talent through the LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, we are strengthening our platform and accelerating the development of next-generation capabilities that support our advisors and clients.”

The event took place in the GCC’s temporary office space located at Prestige Sky Tech, Tower 1 in the Financial District of Nanakramguda. The GCC plans to move into its permanent space in Tower 2 in early 2027.
