Škoda Auto India partners with CSC Grameen eStore to expand reach across India
Strengthens last-mile connectivity and fuels the company’s growth ambitions in India

Škoda Auto India has taken a significant step towards expanding its reach beyond urban strongholds by announcing a strategic partnership with Common Services Centre Grameen eStore. The collaboration signals a shift in how premium automotive brands are approaching India’s evolving mobility landscape, particularly in non-metropolitan and semi-urban markets where access has traditionally been limited.
Through this partnership, Škoda Auto India becomes one of the few premium carmakers to tap into CSC’s extensive digital and physical infrastructure, bringing its models such as the Skoda Kylaq, Skoda Kushaq, and Skoda Slavia closer to customers in emerging regions. The move reflects a broader industry trend of decentralising access and building stronger connections with customers outside metropolitan centres.
At the heart of this initiative is a hybrid retail model that blends digital convenience with on-ground support. The CSC network, which has a widespread presence across rural and semi-urban India, will act as a crucial touchpoint for prospective buyers. Customers will be able to explore Škoda’s offerings, make enquiries, and initiate their purchase journeys through the Grameen eStore platform, while the brand’s existing dealership network will continue to handle fulfilment, delivery, and after-sales service.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Škoda Auto India, emphasised that the company’s growth strategy is rooted in improving accessibility and building relevance across newer markets. He noted that the partnership with CSC Grameen eStore enables the brand to bridge access gaps by combining the trust of a local network with a product portfolio designed to democratise technology for Indian consumers. According to him, the initiative is aimed at bringing the brand closer to customers, allowing them to experience its products and services more conveniently regardless of location, while contributing to a more inclusive mobility ecosystem.
The collaboration is expected to enhance last-mile reach in previously underserved regions, enabling assisted digital discovery and purchase journeys for customers who may not have easy access to traditional showrooms. By involving local entrepreneurs within the CSC network, Škoda Auto India also aims to deepen customer engagement and build familiarity with the brand at the grassroots level.
At the same time, the company is leveraging its established dealership infrastructure to ensure that the customer experience remains seamless from enquiry to delivery. This integrated approach allows Škoda to maintain its premium service standards while significantly widening its geographic footprint.
The move underscores a growing recognition within the automotive industry that India’s next phase of growth lies beyond its major cities. With rising aspirations, improving digital connectivity, and increasing disposable incomes in smaller towns, these markets are becoming critical to long-term expansion strategies.
By aligning with a network like CSC Grameen eStore, Škoda Auto India is not only extending its reach but also redefining how premium mobility can be made more accessible. The partnership positions the brand to tap into a new customer base while reinforcing its commitment to innovation, accessibility, and customer-centric growth in one of the world’s most dynamic automotive markets.
