Students have to play role in economic growth: South Korea's consul general
Chennai: South Korea’s consul general in Chennai Kyungsoo Kim urged school students to play a role in India’s economic growth and make it as one of the most advanced economies of the world. While participating in the school day celebrations of Bala Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School in Adyar he said India’s economic growth target is set as over 10 per cent from 2020.
“You have to play a role in the course of national duty to make India from lamp of Asia to lamp of the world,” he said. He inspired the students with the former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam’s words, asking them to fire their wings.
Heaping praise on Kalam he said his aspiration for warfare, harmony and peaceful co-existence of people was higher than the aeronautical limits. He urged the students play a role in economic growth.
“The economic growth target is set to be over 10 per cent from 2020. It is your responsibility to be one of the most advanced economies in the world in near future.”
R. Srinivasa Raghavan, principal, Bala Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, C.S. Ram, president, Bala Brindavan Society and C.K.Ranganathan, secretary, Bala Brindavan Society also participated in the function.
