Their ignorance of what is observed as a day of great solemnity set off a series of comments on social media. In the evening, though, subscribers to their mailing list received an apology with the subject: That was foolish. “The subject line we used for our newsletter today was a terrible oversight. Please accept our sincerest apologies about this. It was an unintentional error, and in no way meant to hurt your sentiments. We will work to ensure that something like this never happens again,” said the message from the Urban Ladder team. Their gesture drew widespread admiration, again on social media.
