Department of Posts extends Aadhaar enrolment facility in Tamil Nadu

The 70 post offices in Tamil Nadu circle had made 14,756 transactions till date, it said.
A Post Office Savings Account offers interest of 4 per cent per annum on individual or joint accounts.
Chennai: Department of Posts on Friday said AADHAAR enrolment facility has been extended to 1,434 post offices in Tamil Nadu.
Department of Posts in collaboration with UIDAI launched Aadhaar enrolment facility in 70 post offices across Tamil Nadu.
This facility will be further extended to 1,434 more post offices in a phased manner, a PIB release said.
The 70 post offices in Tamil Nadu circle had made 14,756 transactions till date, it said.
