New Delhi: The government has aggressively conducted investigation into leaks of black money hoarded by Indians in foreign shores which have come from ICIJ and Panama Papers and HSBC whistle blower.
Investigation by ICIJ had put in public domain information pertaining to offshore entities based in tax heavens. “Investigations were conducted by the Income Tax Department in cases of Indians appearing in the disclosures in which undisclosed credits of more than 8500 crore in the foreign bank accounts have been detected and 66 Prosecution complaints have been filed in 30 cases,” MoS (finance) S.K.Gangwar said.
