Hyderabad: Flush with funds, hotel room aggregator Oyo on Wednesday said that it will add 200 hotels under its new premium brand Townhouse by the yearend.
“We are planning to add around 200 Townhouses across the country by the yearend. This includes 60 hotels in the South, and 25 in Hyderabad,” said Oyo CEO Ritesh Agarwal.
Mr Agarwal was in Hyderabad to launch his company’s Townhouse hotel at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad — the first one outside Delhi-National Capital Region.
The company plans to launch four more similar properties in Hyderabad, in an attempt to cater to tech crowd.
According to Mr Agarwal, Townhouse delivers a seamless experience through a format that operates as 25 per cent hotel, 25 per cent home, 25 per cent cafe and 25 per cent merchandise store in one place, providing a perfect complement to our guests’ lifestyle.
Hyderabad is the biggest market after Bengaluru and NCR. He said that Hyderabad gets two kinds of guests — millennial guests dominated by tech customers and those related to other businesses.
