Mumbai: Tata Communications today said its white label automated teller machines (ATM) arm has put 8,000 units across 4,600 towns of 20 states in the country till now.
"The 8,000th machine was installed at the tier-IV town of Appipatti, Theni in Tamil Nadu," Tata Communications Payment Solutions said in a statement. "There has been an uptake in bank accounts in these regions, making the ramp-up of the ATM infrastructure in the country an imperative," the company's chief executive Sanjeev Patel said.
