Neogen Chemicals rises 22 per cent on exchange debut
The shares were locked in 5 per cent upper circuit after opening at Rs 251 till the close of the trade.
Mumbai: Specialty chemicals maker Neogen Chemicals made an impressive debut on the bourses with over 22 per cent listing gains after a successful initial public offering last month.
Neogen Chemicals listed with a premium over 16.74 per cent at Rs 251 against the public issue price of Rs 215 and went on to gain 22.58 per cent in first day's trade, closing at Rs 263.55.
The shares were locked in 5 per cent upper circuit after opening at Rs 251 till the close of the trade. As a result only shares worth Rs 7.48 crore changed hand on BSE and Rs 34.80 crore on NSE.
The IPO of Neogen Chemicals raised Rs 132.35 crore IPO as the public issue was oversubscribed over 21 times.
