Track youth for success, says Chanda Kochhar
Hyderabad: Exhorting newly graduated ISB students to capitalise on India’s strengths in digital world, ICICI Bank managing director and CEO Chanda Kochhar on Friday said that technology and youth will become the determining factors of a company’s success.
“What is important is not just to think about the technology or not just to think about the way technology is causing disruptions... But to think in the same way as the new digitised generation is thinking. Because it is the current generation that is going to drive the business models. And therefore it is important for all of us to keep thinking about the way technology drives the younger generation today,” she said.
Ms Kochhar was in Hyderabad on Friday for addressing the ISB students at the graduation day ceremony of Post Graduate Programme class of 2016 and Post graduate programme in management for senior executives class of 2015.
She said that one has to learn all the time in one’s life as “skills become obsolete in no time”. “Illiterates of the 21st century are not going to be those who cannot read or right. The illiterates of 21st century are going to be those who cannot learn, relearn and unlearn,” Ms Kochhar said.
