Hyderabad: BioAsia, one of the largest biotechnology and life-sciences conferences in Asia, will begin in Hyderabad on Monday.
The three-day conference, which will inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, will be attended by delegates from 800 companies from across more than 50 countries.
The 13th BioAsia is expected to focus on issues like drug discovery and innovation, rapid diagnostics, etc as the government seeks to push biotech startups.
It will also bring together stalwarts in the life sciences industry such as Dr Reddy’s co-chairman G.V. Prasad, Zydus Cadila chairman Pankaj Bhai Patel, and GSK UK senior vice-president and head, emerging markets, Rogerio Ribeiro at the CEO conclave.
