Hyderabad: This is the best time to start a business and India is the best place to start that, but one must know when to start it, Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan said while speaking at the Dean’s Speaker Series at the Indian School of Business on Friday.
Entrepreneurs are those who believe in themselves and get their passion going with commitment and passion and have the ability to take risks, Mr Gopalakrishnan said. He asked start-up founders to work on increasing the probability of success.
“There are a lot of opportunities in our country for start-ups healthcare, automobiles, financial services and deeper technologies, converting research into new products, but for successful start-ups we should try to come out with solutions to problems we are facing in sectors like automobiles and healthcare’’, he added.
Clear alignment of purpose is important for a start-ups. “We need more entrepreneurs and start-ups and when everything is changing and technology disruption is at its peak, it is the right time to start a business but it's also important to question your decision,” he added.
He also spoke about Itihasa, a new way of documenting the history of the IT industry. He said that it is an application and not a book.
