BSNL offers no-cap data

''If customer uses the plan continuously in a month, he can download upto 300 GB data by paying only Rs 249,†said BSNL.

New Delhi: State-owned BSNL said on Friday that it will offer “unlimited” wireline broadband services at a monthly pack of Rs 249 from September 9.

“If customer uses the plan continuously in a month, he can download upto 300 GB data by paying only Rs 249. Hence, per GB of data download cost comes out as less than Rs 1 per GB,” said BSNL.

After six months, customer will be migrated to one of the regular broadband plan based on the choice of the customer. BSNL’s announcement comes a day after Reliance Jio said that it will offer unlimited data and voice calls till December 31.
This shows that Jio’s announcement is already impacting the tariff of other operators.

BSNL’s chairman and managing director Anupam Shrivastava said that BSNL is the only operator who is offering lowest per GB data download cost plan under wireline broadband services.
