Deutsche Bank reports 32 per cent rise in profit

The lender infused Rs 3,846 crore in fresh capital during the reporting year, taking the capital base to Rs 15533 crore.

Mumbai: German lender Deutsche Bank's domestic operations reported a 32 percent rise in net profit at Rs 1,199 crore for the year ended March 2019, up 32 per cent from Rs 910 crore reported a year earlier, the bank said on Tuesday.

The results cover the performance of the 17 India Branches of Deutsche Bank and do not include results of other Deutsche Bank Group entities in the country.

The lender infused Rs 3,846 crore in fresh capital during the reporting year, taking the capital base to Rs 15533 crore. Following this, the bank's overall capital adequacy has increased to 16.03 per cent from 15.22 per cent.
