Post-GST: Medicines to cost more

Bengaluru: The prices of medicines, including life saving drugs, have gone up to 28 per cent from 12, said a city based pharmacist. Although it was said that the prices of life saving drugs will not be touched, the consumers have been disappointed.
Some of the medicines have been hiked from 5.5 per cent to a whopping 28 per cent. This is a big blow on the citizens, the pharmacist said and added that even the profit margin of the chemists have been slashed.
