Centuary Mattresses sees 30 per cent growth

It has been a good year for us as well, says Centuary Mattresses Executive Director Uttam Malani.

Hyderabad: With the twin effects of demonetisation and GST settling down, the organised players in the mattress industry are expected to further eat into the market share of unorganised players. Banking on this sentiment, leading mattress brand, Centuary Mattresses, despite a high base, is confident to see a 30 per cent jump in revenue in FY20, according to a top official.

Speaking to this newspaper, Centuary Mattresses Executive Director Uttam Malani said, "With the after-effects of demonetisation and GST dwindling away, the sentiment has been positive. It has been a good year for us as well. We expect to close this year with over 30 per cent growth in revenue. For Q1 FY20, the numbers may be a bit depressing due to the geopolitical situation ahe-ad of polls, but we have plans in place to try and replicate 30 per cent growth number next year."

The company, which recently introduced a mattress for infants, plans to make a play in the accessories segment as looks to double its revenue every three years.
