Two-wheeler makers offer heavy discounts on BS III bikes
Mumbai: The Supreme Court ban on BS III vehicles has hit two-wheeler makers in country very hard. Major players in the segment are offering attractive discounts on their bikes.
The level of discounts on these bikes is going as high as Rs 12,500, according to a report in Business Standard. The report claimed two-wheeler companies on condition of anonymity confirmed that high discounts are being offered at dealer centres to finish the inventory.
Popular bike maker Hero was offering Rs 12,500 crore concession that was apart from a free insurance for the said vehicles. This was up tll March 31 or till the stocks ended.
Honda on its Facebook page claimed it was offering Rs 22,000 worth cashback on BS III complaint vehicles. All these offers are valid till March 31, the deadline apex court has fixed for removal of BS III vehicles from Indian roads.
