Idea Cellular expands 4G service to 121 towns of AP, Telangana
New Delhi: Telecom operator Idea Cellular on April 28 said it has launched its 4G services to 84 more towns of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, taking the total tally to 121 in both the states.
"Since December last year, until today, we have been aggressively focusing on reaching out to the maximum population and have restructured our focus on the service delivery," Idea Cellular, Andra Pradesh COO, B Ramakrishna said in a statement.
The company said it has launched "4G LTE service to 84 more towns of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, taking the total tally to 121. Covering all major towns across all 23 districts."
In 102 out of 121 towns, Idea has also become the first operator to provide 4G LTE services, it added. Towns covered under Idea 4G network include Anakapalli, Jadcherla, Ghatkesar and Ananthapur, in addition to other major cities like Hyderabad, Mahaboobnagar, Nizamabad, Rajahmundry, Tirupathi, Vijayawada and Vizag, where they had launched earlier
