LeEco makes key hirings to strengthen its India team
New Delhi: To strengthen its operations in the country, Chinese smartphone maker LeEco has made three key appointments to its India team, including former Qualcomm Executive Shrinivas Bairi as Senior Director (R&D). Besides, it has roped in Manish Aggarwal as Vice President Marketing Communications for Smart Electronics Business and Divya Dixit to lead its Content Marketing business, LeEco said in a statement today.
"Over the last several months, we have been extremely focused on strengthening our team and capabilities. These hires are well in line with our initiative of attracting top talent to strengthen our leadership team in India," CEO of LeEco India (Smart Electronics Business) Atul Jain said. Bairi joins LeEco from Qualcomm, where he spent 17 years.
His last role in Qualcomm was Director, Engineering. Manish Aggarwal joins LeEco from Myntra where he was VP Marketing & Head of Monetisation. In his current role at LeEco, Aggarwal will be responsible for spearheading LeEco's marketing communications, it said. With over 16 years of experience, he has worked with companies like The Coco-Cola Company, Procter & Gamble and Mindshare.
Divya Dixit, in her new role, will be responsible for growing the company's content platform across India. She joins from Percept Live where she was Head (Marketing). She has experience of close to 19 years and has worked with firms like Tata Docomo, Saregama India, Sony Entertainment Television and Barista. LeEco further said it is also looking to set up a R&D centre in Bengaluru.
Headquartered in Bangalore, LeEco India employs more than 200 people and aims to take it beyond 1,000 by the end of this year.
