Samsung eyes higher market share in India

Mr Warsi launched the company's festive offer of one-time replacement of broken screens for smartphones bought during the festive period for Rs 990.

Hyderabad: Despite Samsung’s dominance in the smartphones segment in India, the company is relentlessly pursuing its ambition to further consolidate its share, a top company official said here on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media, Mohammad Asim Warsi, senior VP, marketing, Samsung Electronics, said, “The country is the world’s second largest smartphone market where we have sustained our position as the number one mobile brand. We expect to further consolidate our presence with innovative products and services.”

Mr Warsi launched the company’s festive offer of one-time replacement of broken screens for smartphones bought during the festive period for an Rs 990.
