Indigo hit with more snags

The airline had also suffered two aircraft technical snags on Sunday.

New Delhi: Adding to Indigo’s woes, three more aircraft suffered technical snags on Monday. The airline, however, said two of the three aircraft were back in operation after the snags were rectified. The airline had also suffered two aircraft technical snags on Sunday.

In a statement, IndiGo said, “An A320 (non neo) aircraft VT INZ operating Cochin-Mumbai and another A320 (non neo) aircraft VT IFU operating Mumbai-Goa, had technical snags detected during departure. Both these aircraft were immediately withdrawn for rectification.

The issues were rectified and the aircraft are back in operation. ... An A320 neo aircraft that operated Mumbai-Jammu, during maintenance checks was detected with leakage from one engine. This is a technical snag and it is being rectified. This is not related to the P&W engine concerns.”
