TCS sees buoyant IT demand for four years

Mr Subramaniam remarked that 2021 was the year of resilience for the industry

HYDERABAD: With increasing digital consumption, the buoyant demand environment in the IT sector is here to stay for the next three to four years, predicted N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, chief operating officer of Tata Consultancy Services.

Addressing the Hyderabad software enterprises association (Hysea) innovation summit on Thursday, Mr Subramaniam remarked that 2021 was the year of resilience for the industry. The summit, co-organised by the software technology parks of India (STPI), Hyderabad, explored how digital adoption could drive growth of the industry. Mr Subramaniam said recovery from the pandemic was seen in an unprecedented manner in the IT industry. “The IT talent pool of India is respected by organisations and governments across the globe,” he added. J.A. Chowdary, who formerly headed both HYSEA and STPI, and chairman of, Indian blockchain standards committee, was presented the lifetime achievement award for his efforts in grooming the IT industry in the city.
