Bajaj Corp shares tank over 6 per cent after Q4 results
New Delhi: Shares of FMCG firm Bajaj Corp Ltd today slumped over 6 per cent after the company's fourth quarter earnings failed to meet investor expectations. The scrip plunged 6.27 per cent to end at Rs 401.95 on BSE.
During the day, it tanked 7.42 per cent to Rs 397. The stock dropped 6.37 per cent to close at Rs 401.80 on National Stock Exchange. Bajaj Corp Ltd on Thursday reported a decline of 2.93 per cent in standalone net profit at Rs 52.66 crore for the fourth quarter ended March.
It had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 54.25 crore in the January-March quarter of 2015-16, Bajaj Corp Ltd had said in a BSE filing.
Its total income during the period under review was down by 2.03 per cent at Rs 204.54 crore as against Rs 208.78 crore in the corresponding quarter a year-ago. Stocks markets were closed on Friday for Ambedkar Jayanti and Good Friday.
