Nellore: Parksons' unit in Sri City soon
Nellore: Mumbai-based Parksons Packaging, a leading manufacturer and exporter of printed and laminated folding cartons, held a ground breaking ceremony for its unit at Sri City on Thursday.
Company chairman Ramesh Kejriwal said, "We are foraying into the southern region and Sri City was selected because of its strategic location, infrastructure and excellent service to entrepreneurs."
Sri City founder managing director Ravindra Sannareddy in a statement said, "I welcome yet another new client to Sri City. The presence of such support industries creates a symbiotic ecosystem for manufacturing industries in different sectors."
The plant, to produce and process folding cartons, will be built on a 10-acre plot at an investment of Rs 70 crore during the initial phase. The facility is expected to be commissioned by October. It will provide employment opportunities for about 300 persons. Its key customers, among several others, include Mondelez, Kellogs, Colgate, HLL, Godrej, McDonald's, Wockhardt and Ranbaxy.
Parksons manufactures 10 million packs daily for its clients from its four state-of-the-art units in Daman and Chakan (Pune) and two in Pantnagar (Uttarakhand).
Mr Ramesh Kejriwal broke the ground and set the foundation stone in presence of company joint managing director Chaitanya Kejriwal, director Anjali Kejriwal, senior manager, process engineering, Sachin Shukla and P. Gopalakrishan from marketing.
