Hyderabad: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) on Tuesday said that its current leadership does not disapprove the innovation policy followed by the company in the early days, when it was under its founder Anji Reddy.
“We want to clarify categorically that there is absolutely no “disapproval of DRLs innovation policy under Anji Reddy in the early days”. On the contrary, the company’s leadership is proud of its legacy of innovation, which it continues to follow today,” the company said in a statement.
The statement was in reaction to a news report published in these columns quoting comments made by Mr G.V. Prasad, DRL CEO and co-chairman and the son-in-law of foun-der Anji Reddy, in an interview to McKinsey. The company also claimed that the news report published in this newspaper was misleading.
