Bharti Airtel, Ola team up for digital payment service
Mumbai: India's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel and indigenous taxi aggregator Ola has formed an alliance for starting a digital payment service. According to a report on NDTV, Airtel Payments Bank will ally with Ola app and Ola Money will integrate with Airtel digital payment platform.
"Airtel Payments Banks will integrate with Ola app to offer convenient digital payments solutions to customers for their rides. Ola Money will be integrated as a digital payment solution within MyAirtel App and the Airtel website to enable recharge of Airtel prepaid mobile/DTH and payment of Airtel mobile/broadband bills through Ola Money," the company said in a statement.
Ola customers can make use of Airtel Payments Bank platform to make digital transactions and pay for booked cabs. Ola Money, digital payment platform of taxi aggregator will be connected with MyAirtelApp or Airtel website which will facilitate various recharges including pre-paid mobile bills and Airtel DTH service.
