After Twitter India head Jaitly, Twitter India MD Parminder Singh quits
Twitter India Managing Director, Parminder Singh, announced that he is leaving the company after three years in a series of tweets on his Twitter handle @parrysingh today.
Singh was not only the Managing Director for Twitter in India, but also for the South East Asia, the Middle East and the North Africa.
“After leading Twitter in Asia's most exciting markets (India/SEA/MENA) for 3 yrs, time to move on to new passions #BeenAPrivilege,” Singh tweeted.
The news arrives barely a week after, when Twitter India head, Rishi Jaitly, on Twitter announced to leave the company.
In the series of tweets posted today on Twitter, Singh also revealed that the INSENA/MENA region will split, with MENA (Middle East and North America) aligned to EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region and INSEA(India and South East Asia) region aligned to APAC (Asia Pacific) region. He revealed the INSEA will be managed by Maya Hari, while the MENA region by Benjamin Ampen.
In a tweet Singh cited the move as the right time to quit.
Before joining Twitter, Singh was working as the Business Head of Google India. According to Singh’s LinkedIn profile he had also worked with the IBM, HCL and Apple.
