Hyderabad-based Shakti Hormann Plans Manufacturing Unit in Jaipur With Rs 175 crore

Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Shakti Hormann, which is into manufacturing of doors for the commercial, industrial and residential segments, said it will invest Rs 175 crore in setting up a new manufacturing unit in Jaipur. The proposed unit will mainly cater to the northern markets and will focus on engineered wood doors, said C Shashidar Reddy, managing director of Shakti Hormann.

The company also announced the launch of two experience centres, one each in Hyderabad and New Delhi.

“We are establishing a new manufacturing plant in Mahendra World City in Jaipur, with a capacity of 1,30,000 doors per annum, investing more than Rs 175 crore. The new plant will become operational in the second quarter of 2024,” said Reddy. The upcoming manufacturing plant will be in 20 acres and will create over 150 direct and over 300 indirect jobs locally and foster community development.

It now has one plant at Gagillapur near Hyderabad. It can produce over 2,00,000 custom-made doors, door frames, and over 10,000 industrial doors per annum, catering to industrial, commercial, public buildings, institutions, hospitality, hospitals, and airports.

“Branded factory finished doors and exclusive experience stores are non-existent in India,” he said why it set up experience centers. The company sells 1,10,000 doors per annum currently, with a revenue of Rs 270 crore. The residential door price ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh. While the commercial door ranges from Rs 15,000 to Rs 6 lakhs, the industrial doors are priced ₹60,000 upwards, he said.
