No Patanjali impact on us, says Adi Godrej
Godrej said that he did not see much competition from Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's firm as the latter was not producing products that Godrej was.
Mumbai: Though Patanjali’s entry into the FMCG segment has affected several multinational companies badly, the Godrej Group chairman Adi Godrej on Tuesday said that he did not see much competition from Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s firm as the latter was not producing products that Godrej was.
“They are mostly in low cost product space like ghee and honey but not in value added products, except perhaps in soaps,” Mr Godrej said, while participating in an interactive meeting with the Indian Merchants’ Chamber in Mumbai on Tuesday. “But they are still small,” he added.
Mr Godrej saw the economy grow in double digits if GST (the goods and services tax) is introduced in the coming Parliament session as Mr Arun Jaitley said.
