Skoda Begins Deliveries of New Skoda Kodiaq

The all-new, second-generation Kodiaq is the flagship SUV of the brand, representing the brand's craftsmanship and technological excellence, while combining elegant European design with off-road capabilities and seven-seat versatility

Pune: Czech automaker Skoda, which introduced its new Skoda Kodiaq SUV last month, has now started deliveries to the customers in the Indian market.

The new Kodiaq is available in two variants: Sportline and Laurin and Klement (L&K), priced at Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 48.69 lakh at pan India showroom, respectively.

"The all-new Kodiaq is the perfect embodiment of precision engineering combined with unparalleled luxury, seven-seat versatility, and 4x4 abilities,” boasted Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India.

He said the market response since its unveiling has been extremely encouraging.

With the all-new Kodiaq, Skoda has strengthened its SUV portfolio lineup in India, with the recently launched Kylaq and the Kushaq.

The Kodiaq features a revised front grille, a split headlamp setup with L-shaped LED DRLs, and C-shaped taillights connected by an LED light bar. Inside, you get a 2-spoke steering wheel, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13-inch floating touchscreen. Other features include 3-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function (L&K trim), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, 9 airbags, and park assist.

The Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG and an all-wheel drive system.

Volkswagen is also expected to launch the Tayron by the end of this year. The 3-row SUV will compete with the Toyota Fortuner as well as its stablemate, the Kodiaq in the country.
