Kochi Tech Entrepreneur Becomes First Indian Owner of Rs 16 Cr Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge
The ultra-luxury sedan, with an on-road price reportedly exceeding Rs 16 crore, was delivered through KUN Exclusive, Rolls-Royce’s Chennai- based dealership.

Kochi: Venu Gopalakrishnan, the founder and CEO of Litmus7 Systems Consulting Pvt Ltd, has etched his name in automotive history by becoming the first Indian to own the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Black Badge, a vehicle hailed as the most advanced in the marque’s storied lineage. The ultra-luxury sedan, with an on-road price reportedly exceeding Rs 16 crore, was delivered through KUN Exclusive, Rolls-Royce’s Chennai- based dealership. The grand handover ceremony took place at a private event in Kochi, where Gopalakrishnan, accompanied by his family, unveiled the vehicle.
The Ghost Series II Black Badge is powered by a formidable 6.75-litre twin- turbocharged V12 engine, delivering an enhanced output of 592 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. This power is complemented by an all-wheel-drive system, all-wheel steering, and the brand’s proprietary Black Badge Planar Suspension System, ensuring a driving experience that combines performance with unparalleled comfort.
Gopalakrishnan’s model boasts a striking dual-tone exterior in Black Diamond and Gunmetal Grey, accentuated by a hand-painted copper coachline. The interior is equally opulent, featuring a two-tone color scheme of Phoenix Red and Black, hand-woven carbon fiber panels, and a black-chrome clock cabinet showcasing the vehicle’s bespoke craftsmanship.
This acquisition follows Gopalakrishnan’s earlier headline-making purchase of a lime green Lamborghini Urus Performante, for which he secured the VIP registration number ‘KL 07 DG 0007’ at a record-breaking bid of Rs 45.99 lakh, the highest ever paid for a vehicle number plate in Kerala.
As Rolls-Royce continues to expand its presence in India, this landmark delivery highlights the brand’s evolving customer base and the country’s growing appetite for ultra-luxury automobiles.
