A limited-edition Datsun redi-GO has been launched at a price of Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The hatchback is named redi-GO Sport and features aesthetic upgrades though it remains mechanically unchanged. Datsun hopes to attract more customers in the upcoming festive season with this special-edition hatchback.
The redi-GO Sport features racing stripes, which are applied across the length of the car. Additionally, the limited run model also has side stripes, black painted wheel caps and grille (both with red highlights), and a roof spoiler. It is available only in three colour options, namely, Ruby, White and Grey.
On the inside, Datsun offers new sporty all-black cabin – dashboard and upholstery – with red highlights (mimicking the exterior). It also comes with a few additional features such as Bluetooth enabled music system, remote key-less entry and rear parking sensors.
Mechanically, as we have mentioned above, there are no changes. The special edition is be powered by the same 799cc three-cylinder motor which produces 53PS of peak power along with 72Nm of max torque, mated to a 5-speed manual. For the uninitiated, this motor is shared with the Renault Kwid.
