The classically styled bike is Kawasaki’s take on a British twin.

Kawasaki entered the neo-retro segment a few years back with the Z900RS. Now, the Japanese bike manufacturer has launched another motorcycle in this segment, the W800 Street. Priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, the W800 Street is around Rs 55,000 more expensive than the Triumph Street Twin, which is priced at Rs 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom India)

Kawasaki Launches W800 Street Retro Motorcycle In India

 

The W series of bikes are Kawasaki’s retro themed motorcycles with a vertical twin cylinder engine. This one comes with a 773cc air-cooled motor with a 360-degree crank offset. It produces a humble 47PS and 62.9Nm. While the power output is nearly the same as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, it has 10Nm more at its disposal.

Bookings for the bike have begun at all Kawasaki dealerships across the country with deliveries expected to start by mid-August 2019.
