Mercedes lines up nine models in India this year
Hyderabad: Mercedes Benz plans to roll out nine more new vehicles this year even as it launched the S400, a model that was billed as the best in world, on Tuesday. Apart from the S400, the company has already launched two more models in 2016.
Talking on the sidelines of the national launch of S400, Roland Folger, managing director and CEO, Mercedes Benz India, said, “Mercedes Benz believes in introducing the latest products and variants in the market at regular intervals. Taking this strategy forward, we are going to launch 12 new vehicles this year and out of which two have already been launched.”
Referred to as the “best car in the world’’ by critics and patrons, the S-Class portfolio in India, now becomes the most comprehensive one with the addition of the all-new S 400. Mr Folger also said, “The S 400 will be locally manufactured in Chakan, Pune. This is yet another firm affirmation of our vision of ‘make in India’, and our unwavering commitment to the Indian customer in presenting the best of our global offerings.”
