Triumph India has come up with the Scrambler Inspiration Kit for the Bonneville Street Twin to enhance the pleasure of riding the motorcycle, while also setting it up for a superb off-road riding experience.
Taking inspiration after the Scrambler motorcycles, the customization is only cosmetic on the Street Twin, as there will be no accessories to carry out mechanical changes. Triumph India first introduced this Kit at Lavasa, near Pune, on the eve of World Motorcycle Day.
The most obvious change is the raised and brushed high level Vance & Hines exhaust system. This will help riders of the motorcycle prevent the exhaust from getting hit, while riding off-road.
The second most attractive customization is the rear mudguard removal kit that renders a compact look to the tail. This goes with the compact rear light that is part of the kit.
The brown ribbed bench seat goes onto match the brown colored “Barrel Style” handlebar grips. Both the front and rear LEDs can be alternated with the compact lights in the kit. The sump guard below is aluminum brushed.
The motorcycle’s engine is the 900 cc, 8-valve, parallel-twin engine, which develops 55 bhp of power and a torque of 80 Nm. The Bonneville Street Twin has a price tag of Rs. 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Scrambler Inspiration Kit can be purchased for extra cost, above its showroom price.
The color options of the Bonneville Street Twin are the everlasting Jet Black, Cranberry Red and Aluminum Silver Shade. You can also avail the other two customization kits as the Brat Tracker or the Urban Kit.
The Triumph Bonneville T120, Street Twin and the Triumph Thruxton R are the new additions to the Bonneville family, after the Bonneville, Bonneville T100 and the Thruxton.
