4. i3S (Idle-stop-start system): The new Achiever 150 also gets Hero's patented i3S technology which has already been appreciated by customers of the Splendor iSmart and iSmart 110. The system automatically shuts down the engine when it remains on idle for around 10 seconds, saving the fuel consumption on traffic signals and other conditions. The bike can be restarted easily by just pulling the clutch lever and the system is also switchable, so you can turn it off if you want to. It helps in returning a better fuel economy, especially in city riding conditions, and company officials told us that it can provide 50kmpl in urban conditions.

3. Automatic Headlamp On (AHO): It is a first-in-class safety feature which allows you the convenience to not turn on and off the headlamp of the bike. It automatically senses the light conditions in the vicinity and turns the headlamp on or off accordingly. This feature specially helps when we forget to turn on the headlamps while going through a dark condition area for a while, for example, a tunnel, and it can be dangerous to ride at such places without proper illumination.

2. New Styling: We agree that the styling is not a wow factor of the new Hero Achiever 150, however, it is at least fresh and better when compared to the previous model. The bike looks much inspired from its sibling, the Xtreme, especially when you look at the fuel tank. The new headlamp is angular, complementing the flowing design on the bike. Fit and finish of the bike are decent, which is a forte of the manufacturer, and the paint quality is also impressive. What we didn't like are the skinny tyres of the bike which doesn't gel with the overall styling. But overall, the bike looks decent and comfortable as a commuter motorcycle.

1. Pricing and Competition: The Hero Achiever directly competed with the Honda CB Unicorn, which is priced slightly higher. So, the new motorcycle will definitely get the advantage of its competitive pricing and new features. However, when we look at the price segment, its other rival is the Bajaj V15, which comes at exactly the same price and offers a unique and more impressive styling along with some better features. However, the Achiever also gets the brand value of Hero MotoCorp to fight with the competitors.

Moreover, the company has also introduced a limited edition of the bike to commemorate the landmark of 70 million units of production, which also coincides with India's 70th year of Independence. So, the special edition bike gets clad in the colours of Indian patriotism i.e. the tricolour of our national flag. Keeping it exclusive, the company will produce only 70 units of this limited edition Achiever 150.
