Royal Enfield to launch more affordable Thunderbird 350

Expect the Chennai-based manufacturer to launch the base-spec variant in the coming weeks.

After launching affordable variants of the Bullet and the Classic 350, Royal Enfield is likely to launch a stripped out and cheaper version of the Thunderbird 350 as well.

More Affordable Royal Enfield Thunderbird Variant In The Pipeline!

While information regarding the upcoming variant are scarce, we believe it will get a simpler single-tone paint job, a minimalistic badge and blacked-out parts like the Classic 350 S. Additionally, the projector headlamp setup seen on the standard model could be replaced with a simple halogen unit. Apart from the addition of a single-channel ABS, the motorcycle will be mechanically the same as the dual-channel ABS variant. Considering that the upcoming base-spec Thunderbird will get minimal changes, we expect it to be priced around Rs 1.47 lakh, making it nearly Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 less expensive than the standard model.

Royal Enfield is also working on updating the Thunderbird 350 X, which could arrive during the first half of 2020. The new Thunderbird 350 X will get an updated chassis as well as all new looks as well, and Royal Enfield will be banking on it to help boost sales figures in these difficult times.
