Audi A5 and S5 to have India Launch Soon
Unveiling both the models early in the month, Audi also reportedly plans to release the new-generation A5 and S5 sportback models in India. Prepping up for the launch, the news broke after the German luxury carmaker imported solo units of the Audi A5 and the S5 to India to put them up for homologation.
Audi already has the S5 model for sale in the Indian market. So, only the A5 will be the brand new model for the Indian market. These new generation models will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, in October 2016.
The Indian launch of these models may launch during the same period next year, which is probably why the Audi imported them into India, ahead of their debut. The A5 sportback was also spotted testing a few months ago in India.
The Audi has built both the A5 and S5 based on its MLB platform, which makes for some fabulous styling cues, enhanced comfort and classy and smooth riding dynamics.
In India, both the A5 and S5 will be offered in a four-door version, as their being a two-door will invade into the sales of the Audi TT. In the A5, the bonnet styling looks very aesthetic, along with the headlights’ chrome-provisions.
The hexagonal front-grille looks fabulous, vintage, attractive and daring, while the chrome-sculpted fog lamp provisions make bold statements. The air vents look very subtle, while the front is mostly dominated by the grille. The rear of both the cars also look futuristic.
Both the upcoming car models will also be high on equipment with the large 8.3-inch touchscreen Multimedia Infotainment system, 10 GB memory storage, DVD drive, free Audi connect service for three years, etc. Safety equipment include the adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, road sign recognition, lane keeping assistance, etc.
