Kia Seltos dealer dispatch begins ahead of August 22 launch
- The Seltos will be available in two trims: Tech Line and GT Line.
- Tech Line will come in five variants: E, K, K+, X and X+.
- Seltos GT Line gets three variants: K, X and X+.
- Available with three engine options: two petrol and one diesel.
- Four gearbox options: 6-speed MT, 6-speed AT, CVT and 7-DCT.
Kia is all set to launch its first product, the Seltos, in India on August 22. Meanwhile, the carmaker has begun dispatching the SUV to its dealers across the country. Kia plans to have around 265 touchpoints in 160 cities by the time the SUV is launched next month.

The Kia Seltos will be offered in two trims: Tech Line and GT Line. Where the Tech Line will be available in five variants - E, K, K+, X and X+ - the GT Line will be available in three variants - K, X and X+.
Under the hood, the HT Line gets a set of 1.5-litre BS6 petrol and diesel engines. The GT Line, on the other hand, will be only available with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

In terms of features, the Seltos will set some benchmarks in the segment. It will get various segment-first features including a 360 degree camera, front parking sensors, ambient lighting, blind spot detection system, a premium Bose sound system, an 8-inch head-up display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Seltos will also get connected car tech powered by an eSim similar to the Hyundai Venue.
Other features on the Seltos include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management and hill start assist.
The Seltos is expected to be priced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Seltos will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Renault Captur and the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.
